Description says Altec woofers, but the pics do not show Altec woofers. Wonder if you get what's in the description, or what's in the pic?

Not all vegetables make good leaders.
Makes sense to me that you get what's in the pics. Those are Altec 421 woofers in there. At least that's what they look like to me.
Ribbed cones, 4 inch voice coils/dust caps......................... not any version of a 421 that i'm aware of.
421 has a nice smooth cone from the edge of it's 3 inch dust cap out to the surround, in the pic you can see that only a small area outside of the dust cap is smooth.
If you told me they looked like JBL E-140's or K-140's, i'd be a believer.

They do look a bit JBL-ish

Oh, I didn't see any ribbed cones or anything. If that's what the cones look like then yes, JBL. I have several pairs of 421 woofers and that's what the pic looked like to me. Maybe someone should enlarge the picture to see if they are ribbed cones. Too hard to really tell. Hmmm...
Enlarging the pic is a lost cause, CL pics are lo res.

I know that... That is why I didn't attempt it.
If you've ever seen a 421 mounted in an 825/828 cabinet, it should be immediately obvious that those dust caps are far too large to be 421's.
Take a look at the 1208B in the '75 pro catalog, or the 1236 in the '78 pro catalog to get a sense of the correct scale of the 421 dust cap in that opening.

Well, I DO have a set of PA version of the A7 with 421 woofers in them and 511B horns. So I do know what they look like. It's not that big of a deal to me either way. Just wondered why everyone was making such a big deal out of it and coming to the conclusion that it wasn't an Altec woofer. That's all.
